Shemini Atzeres Yizkor Donation

Dear Friends,
Every Shemini Atzeres those of us who have lost a loved one come together and say Yizkor. While having to say this prayer is heartbreaking, we are comforted by being among other members of our community who understand our pain as we all recite Yizkor together. We also ask that you join together with us as we remember beloved relatives and Jewish martyrs as we pledge tzedakah in their memory by contributing to the Annual Shemini Atzeres Yizkor Appeal.
Among us are many who are fortunately, not required to recite Yizkor, and are blessed to still have their loved ones with them. Still, Yizkor is a time for every Jew to remember Jewish martyrs of the past and the present.
In order to enable one to fulfill the pledge contained in the Yizkor service, “...I shall give to charity on his/her behalf...,” The Boca Jewish Center traditionally conducts an appeal prior to the recitation of Yizkor. Sadly, this year we must ask for your help virtually. Your memorial contribution will aid our shul in sustaining its vital programs and services. Your support will help us form a meaningful tradition for our children to hand down to their children. Please join us and participate in this year's Shemini Atzeres Yizkor Appeal. May the memories of our loved ones be a blessing upon us.
May we all find comfort from afar and pray that we will all join together in person again soon. Best wishes for a beautiful last days of Yom Tov, and thank you for your generosity.
Wishing you a Chag Sameach,
Rabbi Yaakov Gibber
