The mission of BJC Sisterhood is to nurture a sense of community for the women of our congregation through camaraderie, support, chessed and inspiration. The Sisterhood operates under the guidance of Rebbetzin Jennifer Gibber.
Annual Dues & Benefits
Every female member of BJC is included in the Sisterhood. Dues are added to each family’s annual shul fees. Non-members of BJC who wish to attend our programs and support our efforts are welcome to become members of the Sisterhood; annual dues of just $36 entitles a member to participation in at least one annual free members’ event, and registration at a reduced cost for some Sisterhood-sponsored activities.
Initiatives
The Sisterhood provides various services to our community that are ongoing throughout the year.
Welcome Committee – Beautiful baskets are personally delivered to new shul members, welcoming them to our community.
Hospitality Committee – Accommodations and meals are arranged for visitors considering moving to the BJC community, guests who need to be nearby for medical reasons, and for people in various other situations. Meals and accommodations are not arranged during any Jewish holiday or Yeshiva Week. It is strongly encouraged to call the shul with as much lead time as possible if one would like to be set up for a Shabbos meal.
New Baby and Shiva Meals – Sisterhood sponsors meals during lifecycle events for our members.
